Ordering with us
You are considered to have placed an order with us by using our online checkout process or by placing an order over the telephone with a member of our sales team. As part of the checkout process you will be given the opportunity to review your order and amend any mistakes. We will send you an order confirmation by email, listing the products you have ordered separately, including each product’s unique specification.
We will confirm your order by email once the deposit payment has been authorised. Once the order is accepted the contract is formed, although we have the right to refuse your order after confirmation if:
Products/services are unavailable Payment has not been authorised We are unable to deliver the goods to your location or surcharges applied to delivery costs have not been authorised A product or service is priced incorrectly we are not obliged to supply that product or service to you at the stated price. We will notify you of any pricing errors before arranging delivery with you and in these circumstances we will also notify you of the correct price so that you can decide to cancel or continue with the purchase. If you decide not to continue with your order, we will give you a full refund on any amounts paid, in accordance with our cancellations and returns policy. Delivery and Installation
Delivery will take place within 60 days of the order being confirmed unless otherwise agreed with you or otherwise stated during the initial transaction. For offshore or remote mainland deliveries please contact 01603 748507 to discuss available options.
Our delivery service is kerbside drop only. We will park our vehicles as close as possible to the drop off point and unload by hand. If you have any special delivery requirements please call 01603 748507.
If access for delivery is restricted please ensure that you inform us when placing your order or at the very latest prior to despatch of the goods. Failure to do so will result in the delivery being treated as a failed delivery and may result in further charges being applied.
If a delivery is refused at the delivery address and re-requested for another date, we may charge for the second delivery. If you refuse to accept an item that is being delivered for any reason you must notify us immediately with the reason for refusal on 01603 748507 or email@example.com.
Scott Sheds Ltd. will not be held responsible for loss of earnings due to failed or delayed delivery.
Once delivered, responsibility for the product(s) lies with you, your agent or the intended recipient or a signed note has been left indicating that delivery can be left unattended. Any loss or damage to the products will be at your own risk.
In case of delivery to certain locations such as hospitals, airports, hotels, ships and other business premises, the signature of any person authorised to accept delivery on behalf of that organisation shall be accepted as proof of delivery of the goods to yourself.
Delivery may be extended if the installation service is chosen. Installations are carried out on weekdays only, typically between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Saturday deliveries can be arranged at an extra cost, or free of charge at our discretion, depending on your location.
We offer an installation service on selected products which includes our in house installation team delivering, unloading and assembling the product, ensuring that it is installed correctly, safely and to the customer’s requirements. You will be notified during the order process if our installation service is available, you will also be made aware of any additional charges this may incur.
By agreeing to the terms and conditions you are also agreeing to accept additional delivery charges should your postcode or area necessitate these as detailed or by notification to you. If you have placed your order online and an additional delivery surcharge is required your order will be placed on hold and you will be contacted to notify you of any additional charges. You can then choose to continue with your order by paying the additional delivery charges or you may cancel your order at that point.
Any times or dates stated on our website or emails regarding delivery are estimates only. We try to deliver all goods within 60 days or otherwise stated during purchase. We do not accept liability whatsoever for any failure to deliver within that time and offer no compensation for failure to deliver within any given time scale. Orders received on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays and orders received after 12pm on weekdays, will be processed the next working day. We do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays.
Incorrect personal details may also lead to problems or delays in delivery, so before placing your order please ensure that you have included the full delivery address details, including an accurate postcode of the delivery address and your daytime contact telephone number(s) and an up to date email address so that we can notify you in the event of a delivery problem. If you are not going to be at the property to accept delivery and you wish the goods to be left somewhere at the property please notify us at the earliest convenience in writing (post or email) or leave a signed note on your door to this effect, however, we will always contact you before delivery to give you an opportunity to explain any special instructions.
A level and solid base suitable for the size of the building must be laid prior to assembly. We suggest either paving slab or concrete as the best base options, however, other bases are available. If on arrival the base is not suitable and the installation service is not possible, we will leave the product with you for you to assemble yourself. An additional delivery and storage charge will be applied if we have to take the product back with us due to failed delivery.
It is the responsibility of the customer to provide free and unobstructed access for product delivery and entry to the fitting site. We recommend that panel sizes are checked to allow access through archways and gates. There may be an additional charge if the building is to be manufactured in smaller pieces to fit through particular access restrictions or if delivery is required a considerable distance from where we can park our vehicles.
It is advised that the customer is present at the time of fitting but not essential, however we would require permission to deliver and install in the customers absence along with detailed instructions of fitting requirements.
Delivery vehicle size is not optional, it is fixed according to product type, weight and height limits. A typical delivery will involve the use of flatbed transit style vans, often accompanied by trailers. If a larger vehicle is required, you will be informed prior to delivery to discuss access requirements. Extra costs may apply.

Scott Sheds Ltd. cannot be held responsible for delayed or cancelled deliveries due to bad weather conditions. You will be notified at the earliest convenience if your delivery is going to be delayed or cancelled. You will not be charged for unsuccessful deliveries due to bad weather conditions.
Photographs and Images
Photographs and images on the website may have been supplied to us by external manufacturers, or with regard to our own products they will have been supplied by us, but in any event they are used to represent the style of the product only. Timber is a natural material and is prone to colour variations throughout all product types. We do not accept any liability for any colour differences from a representational image on our website to the finished product, except in the case where the wrong colour preservative or paint finish has been applied to your product during manufacturing.
Scott Sheds Ltd. makes no warranty nor gives any undertaking to the customer that the products supplied or erected by us will comply with local authority planning and/or building requirements and thus accepts no responsibility if they do not. If in any doubt we advise that you contact your local planning authority.
Deposit and Balance Payments
We require 30% of the total order price to place an order, unless otherwise stated during the order process. The remaining balance amount will be taken prior to delivery and/or installation of your product or service. This is non-negotiable.
We hope you never have any reason to complain, but should you wish to voice your disappointment please write to us by post or email. We will take any complaints seriously and work to resolve any issues you may have experienced.
Cancellations & Returns Policy
If you wish to cancel your order before the goods have been despatched you can contact us on 01603 748507 or email us at email@example.com. Please note the 30% deposit will not be refunded.
If you’re not 100% happy with your new purchase, you can return it within 14 days of delivery. We’re confident you’ll have a happy experience when you buy from us but if you do have a problem you can return your product to us within 14, without any fuss. We also ask you to send us a photo so we can make sure everything looks in order before we send our drivers to collect the item.
You must inform us of your wish to cancel your order in a durable form, phone or email, and within reasonable time. In the case of customised orders where goods have been made specifically to your order the above cancellation provisions do not apply.
Refunds will be issued as soon conveniently possible but must be processed within a maximum 14 days. Where exchange rates of currency are involved, the refund will be made in GBP at the current exchange rate. It is not reasonable for us to accept responsibility for any loss or gain caused by changes in the exchange rate between the time of ordering and the time of issuing the refund.
All of our products include a one year manufacturers guarantee to protect you against any issues or defects with the product, starting from the day of delivery and continuing for one full year. Examples of defects may include but are not exclusive to: cracked glazing during transportation, ironmongery failures due to poor quality or incorrect fitting and incorrect installation of the product as a whole.
We do not cover any damages caused to the product as a result of customer neglect (not maintaining the product), damp ingress (placing a product too close to a wall or fence) or any other preventable damage caused by misuse or insufficient care.
Some materials supplied by other companies may come with their own individual guarantees or warranties, however, it is not the responsibility of Scott Sheds Ltd. to contact the companies or replace defective parts.
